Professor Xia Haiquan is appointed as Honorary Dean of the New Beacon Residential College of Innovation.
Professor Xia Haiquan received his Bachelor of International Trade and Economics from the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) and his Master of Enterprise Management from Université de Paris 1. Between 1986 and 1991 he worked in Mauritius and Kenya on trade and business projects and between 1991 and 2015 he worked with UIBE as Director responsible for international academic collaborations. During this period, he successfully introduced several prestigious programmes, including: the EMBA programme at the Robert Smith Business School at Maryland University; the Retail MBA programme at Neoma Business School in France; the MBA programme at Panthéon-Sorbonne Université in France; the MBA programme with City University of Seattle; double bachelor degree programmes with Neoma Business School; and 3+1 Scottish Qualifications Authority Higher National Diploma (SQA-HND) programme at UIBE.
He is currently (appointed 2015) the Chair of the School Council, School of Continuing Education and Distance Education at the University of International Business and Economics, responsible for both domestic and international training programmes: enterprises, government organsations, banks, financial institutions, government officials from foreign countries, etc. In the past two years, he has also completed the following MOOC courses: Cross Cultural Business Negotiation, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Responsible Entrepreneurship.
He is also Guest Professor of Zhejiang Gongshang University, Guest Professor of PIM (Panyapiwa Institute of Management, Thailand) and is teach courses in the UK, Canada, Thailand and China.
He is Senior Negotiation Advisor of the National Health and Family Planning Commission of The People’s Republic of China, helping the Commission to train and design negotiation strategies for its negotiating teams. He has also been involved with many business activities such as governmental negotiation and business negotiations since 1986. In addition, since 2003, he has trained business executives, graduates and government officials, including more than 30,000 government officials from developing countries.
Professor Xia is the research fellow of China Institute for Cultural Trade Research and Senior Advisor of the great China region of Retail Pro Inc) (a listed Corporation in the US).
