Job Title: Business Development Executive – Apprenticeships, Education & Training
New Beacon Group is seeking a Business Development Executive for a newly created role to grow our apprenticeship, education and training provision through brokering, establishing and maintaining relationships with apprenticeship, education and training providers to deliver provision on our campus. As the driving force behind lead generation and client management, you will have a critical role in growing New Beacon Group’s market position and achieving financial growth in relation to apprenticeships, lettings, training, professional, further and higher education courses and summer schools.
You will deliver a professional, customer-orientated and proactive service and this role provides an opportunity to join a fast-growing organisation and play a role in the development and growth of the business.
You will have experience in a business development/ sales/ account management role with a proven track record of account management and developing new business. You will also have excellent communication skills and a ‘can do’ approach and be able to plan your own workload and prioritise tasks by using own initiative with a minimum of supervision. Aside from the above, you will be openminded, flexible with the ability to adapt your approach as the situation demands. You will have an understanding of the apprenticeship framework and the needs of apprenticeship providers and experience of working with apprenticeship providers. Additionally, experience of lettings and/ or working with education and training providers would be beneficial.
New Beacon Group is situated on Beaconside in Stafford and consists of a 42-acre estate comprising 38,000 square metres of buildings, a sports and fitness centre, accommodation and grounds. New Beacon Group purchased the Beaconside campus in November 2016, with the specific intention of retaining education and skills in Stafford along with the development of innovation and enterprise linked to local and international businesses.

About the Role
This is a role for an experienced sales executive, able to take responsibility for the generation of new business leads, identifying new business opportunities from new enquiries, prospect lists and fresh research. We are looking for ambitious professionals able to take responsibility for finding and winning new clients, from first lead to on-boarding and maintaining a positive ongoing relationship with customers. Key to the role will be the ability to initiate prospect communication through “cold calling” and
respond to sales enquiries, as well as manage the accounts to ensure we build long-term positive relationships with customers to retain and further grow business opportunities.
You will operate from New Beacon Group’s head office at the Beaconside campus, approximately 2 miles from Stafford. As the role will involve travel, you will have your own car and a full driving license.
