Just a 10-minute drive from the M6, Beaconwood Park is located just outside Stafford town centre and connected by local bus routes from Stafford Railway Station. Our site is well-connected with major cities in the UK; 30 minutes’ train journey to Birmingham, one hour to Manchester and just 80 minutes to London Euston.
In total, the campus covers 45.87 acres (18.53 ha), which is divided by Weston Road and Hydrant Way into 3 sectors.
Sector 1 comprises the main building to the north which covers approximately 7.88 (19.48 acres). This part of the campus provides teaching block, the distinctive Octagon Building and two one-story buildings.
Sector 2 is to the south of Weston Road and covers approximately 9.40 ha (23.24 acres). This element of the site includes our on-site sports centre and gym, Beacon Sport & Fitness with Astroturf pitches and playing fields. It also includes our student and residential accommodation comprising Stafford Court (604 rooms) and Yarlet Hall (51 rooms).
Sector 3 comprises currently undeveloped land to the south of Weston Road and west of Hydrant Way. This is separated from the main southern site area by Hydrant Way which provides access to the Fire Station. This parcel covers approximately 1.28 ha (3.16 acres).
